Sean Thomas Berg McKeough, of Manistee, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2026.

Born on November 23, 1992, to Tom and Janett (Berg) McKeough, Sean grew up in Hastings, Michigan. Seany never met a stranger; he was a friend to all, possessing a charisma and natural charm that instantly made anyone in his presence feel welcome and valued.

An extraordinary athlete, excelling in football, basketball, and baseball, and self-described sports junkie, Sean channeled his love of the game into coaching. Beginning in Hastings coaching his nephews and nieces in t-ball, football and basketball and helping with the Hastings football program, eventually leading him to Onekama, where he mentored and inspired young athletes both on and off the field. As an avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting and fishing, he found deep joy in nature, and had a profound love for all animals. His adventurous soul also had a need for speed and inspired his love of NASCAR!

Above all his passions and achievements, Sean’s family was his world. He married Sabrina Jo Welch on March 17, 2017. He was a devoted and loving husband and considered being a father his greatest accomplishment in life. He adored his three beautiful children with all his heart, serving as a fierce advocate for his oldest son following his Type 1 juvenile diabetes diagnosis. Sean was also deeply cherished as a brother and uncle, fiercely adored by his sisters, nieces, and nephews.
